Over time, the hands-on training and personalized support she received helped her gain not just technical abilities, but also the confidence to forge her own path.   After completing her plumbing program, Hilda secured an internship at National Water. There, she excelled in industrial piping, mastering the art of connecting and disconnecting water lines and efficiently fixing leaks. Her time at National Water laid a strong foundation of practical experience, enabling her to move on to Liberty Primary School. Here, Hilda embraced a dual role—teaching in the classroom and serving as the school’s resident plumber. Each repair and installation not only improved the school’s facilities, but also boosted Hilda’s income, proving that her specialized skills opened up multiple revenue streams.  Today, Hilda’s ambitions stretch even further. She plans to establish her own plumbing shop in Jinja, merging her technical expertise with entrepreneurial vision.
