It was about building the foundation for a long-term career in industry. From her first days in the BIP workshops, Kevin developed a strong appreciation for precision, safety, and technical discipline. These early lessons would later become the guiding principles of her professional journey. --- 🏭 **Gaining Experience in the Real World** Eager to apply her knowledge beyond the classroom, Kevin undertook a **four-month industrial internship at MAKEPAS MATCH LIMITED**, a major manufacturer of matchsticks and matchboxes located along Factory Road in Jinja. During her internship, Kevin quickly distinguished herself through her commitment to learning and her ability to translate theory into practice. She approached each task with focus and responsibility, earning the respect of supervisors and colleagues. Through consistent performance and dedication, she steadily grew within the organisation. Today, she serves as a **Production Supervisor**, where she oversees production processes, ensures quality standards are maintained, and safeguards worker safety across operations. Her role requires both technical knowledge and leadership — managing workflow, monitoring equipment, and maintaining efficiency on the factory floor. --- 📘 **Lessons That Continue to Guide Her** Kevin credits much of her success to the training she received at BIP, particularly **Unit 1 and Unit 16**, which strengthened her understanding of workplace safety, operational precision, and efficient resource management. These principles now guide her daily responsibilities as she works to reduce production waste, improve workflow efficiency, and maintain strict safety standards within the factory. --- 🌱 **A Journey That Inspires Others** Looking back, Kevin sees her time at BIP as the turning point that opened the door to her career.
