At Busoga International Polytechnic (BIP), we train students on industry-grade machines that are critical across multiple sectors. In this edition of Inside the BIP Workshops, we highlight a tool that shapes pipelines, frameworks, and systems—literally: the Hydraulic Pipe Bending Machine.
The Hydraulic Pipe Bending Machine is designed to bend pipes and tubes to specific angles or shapes with high accuracy and minimal material stress. It’s used in plumbing, HVAC, and industrial installations, where straight pipes need to be fitted into complex layouts.
This machine allows BIP students to understand how physical systems come together—pipe by pipe, bend by bend.
Here’s what students learn during hands-on sessions:
Operating this machine helps build:
Knowing how to bend a pipe may sound simple—but doing it with precision, on different materials, and under pressure is a real skill. At BIP, our students walk out knowing exactly how it’s done.
